Volunteering at Shrewsbury Mencap can be a very valuable and hopefully rewarding experience. We are very fortunate to have support from a number of fantastic volunteers but are always looking for more.

There are three main areas where volunteers are most valuable.

Activities Volunteers –Supporting our social club activities and events. This role involves helping to set up and deliver activities and supporting people with learning disabilities to ensure they can participate fully.

Fundraising Volunteers – Helping out at events now and then such as supermarket collections and similar events. You can do as little or as much as you like. We will keep you on our database and contact you when events are coming up. You can decide if you are able to spare a couple of hours. Bus Driver Volunteers – If you have any evenings or time at weekends free and hold a Full Driving Licence, MENCAP is in urgent need.
